- The OMA was established in 1920 to represent the mining industry of the province. Our forty-eight members are engaged in exploring, producing and processing mineral resources in an environmentally responsible manner. The majority of our members are operating mines in Northern Ontario and produce gold, nickel, copper and a variety of other metals and minerals.
The Northern Miner- North America's Mining Newspaper. The Northern Miner covers the worldwide activities of mining companies based in North America or listed on North American exchanges.
Ontario Prospectors Association- The OPA is the common voice of prospectors in Ontario. You may use this site as your gateway to the home pages of all the Prospector Associations in the Province of Ontario, Canada.
Ministry of Northern Development and Mines- MNDM supports the mineral industry by providing it with valuable information about the province's geology. It also delivers and administers Ontario's Mining Act to improve the investment climate for mineral development.
Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario- Learn more about geoscience and the role APGO plays in regulating professional geoscience practice and protecting the public.
Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum- Founded in 1898, the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum is the leading technical society of professionals in the Canadian minerals, metals, materials and energy industries.
Institute of Lake Superior Geology- Our degree programs prepare students for a broad range of career fields such as: environment, natural resources, petroleum (oil and gas) or mineral exploration, natural hazards mitigation or research of the earth. Graduates find employment in petroleum and oil service industries, environmental firms, government agencies, education, construction and mining.
Mining Association of Canada- MAC's mission is to promote, through the collective action of members, the growth and development of Canada's mining and mineral-processing industry, for the benefit of all Canadians.
Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association- To represent and further the interests, serve the needs, and support the aspirations of the individual prospectors in Northwestern Ontario.
Porcupine Prospectors and Developers Association- A lobby group representing the interests of mineral explorationists in the Porcupine District of Northeastern Ontario.
Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada- Our role is to protect and promote the interests of the Canadian mineral exploration sector and to ensure a robust mining industry in Canada.
Sudbury Prospectors and Developers Association- A not for profit organization dedicated to protect the interests of explorationists and junior mining companies conducting business in the Sudbury District of Ontario.
